About the festival
For 35 years, Fasoula village in the Limassol district has hosted its established Resi Festival, an institution deeply intertwined with the community's cultural life. Each year, residents, expatriates, and visitors gather for a grand celebration aimed at preserving local customs and traditions and passing them on to younger generations.
The festival's star, of course, is Resi, one of the most distinctive dishes of Cypriot tradition. Made with wheat and meat, after hours of patient cooking, it was historically a staple of major celebrations, especially traditional Cypriot weddings.
