About the festival
Some festivals perfectly combine everything we love on a summer afternoon: good food, great company, music, and authentic local flavors. The Pareklissia Tomato Festival is one such event, returning for its fifth year to promise an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
On Sunday, June 28, the Pareklissia Community Stadium will be filled with the aromas, colors, and tastes of the tomato, one of the most beloved and valuable products in Cypriot cuisine.
From early afternoon, visitors can enjoy children's activities, interactive workshops, and a modern shadow puppet theatre to keep young friends entertained.
Live cooking is a highlight of the program, featuring Chryso Lefou presenting favorite recipes and creative ideas using the tomato as the main ingredient. Together, we'll discover how versatile and delicious this everyday product can be, through flavors that blend tradition with modern cuisine.
Of course, there will be plenty of treats and traditional flavors, with visitors having the chance to taste the beloved «pomilorotigania» and other delicacies linked to local gastronomy.
As the sun sets, music will take center stage. A grand tribute to Marinella and Dimitris Mitropanos will transport the audience with timeless songs, creating an atmosphere full of nostalgia, emotion, and entertainment.
If you love festivals that celebrate our local produce and offer wonderful moments for all ages, then the Pareklissia Tomato Festival is a must-add to your summer schedule.
