About the festival
There are places in Cyprus that seem made for summer getaways. Platres is certainly one of them. And when the mountain fills with the aroma of lavender, the experience becomes even more special.
On Sunday, July 5, the Central Square of Platres transforms into a space filled with aromas, colors, and creativity, hosting the beloved Lavender Festival.
Lavender may be known for its properties in beauty and wellness, but in recent years, it has also earned its place in gastronomy. With its distinctive floral and herbal aroma, it offers unique culinary experiences rarely encountered in everyday life.
Throughout the day, visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to discover different facets of this unique plant. Chefs, bartenders, nutritionists, and instructors will present original recipes, sweet creations, refreshing drinks, and special cocktails, showcasing lavender in ways you might not have imagined.
In parallel, 32 exhibitors from across Cyprus will present handmade products inspired by lavender. Cosmetics, candles, wellness products, arts, crafts, and gastronomic creations will fill the square with color and aromas.
The experience is complemented by wellness activities, relaxing treatments, and musical moments that perfectly blend with the natural environment of Platres. From the morning musical welcome to the saxophone at sunset, the festival promises a day full of tranquility, creativity, and summer vibes.
