About the festival
One of the most popular festivals in the Famagusta district returns on Friday, September 11, 2026, combining local gastronomy with music and entertainment. The Xylofagou International Potato Festival will take place at the G.E. KYPEP Public Ltd Packing Plant, honoring once again the product that has become synonymous with the region.
Headlining the musical part of the evening will be Melina Aslanidou and Giorgos Papadopoulos. The two beloved artists will share the stage, presenting a program full of well-known songs, powerful performances, and popular hits.
Naturally, the famous Xylofagou potato could not be absent from the celebration. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste different and imaginative recipes featuring the region's renowned product, in an evening that brings together flavor, tradition, and music.
