INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups (750ml) milk
- 4 tablespoons (60g) cornflour (cornstarch)
- ½ cup (100g) sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- ½ cup (125ml) heavy cream
For the Jelly
- 1 sachet (75g) cherry jelly powder
- 2 cups (500g) water
For Decoration
- Fresh cherries, mint leaves
METHOD
First, we prepare the cream:
- In a small saucepan, pour the milk, the cornflour, and stir. Add the sugar and continue stirring.
- Add the vanilla extract and the heavy cream. Stir until it thickens. Divide the cream into 6 glasses. Cover them with plastic wrap so the cream doesn't form a skin. Let the cream cool and place them in the fridge for 5-6 hours to set well.
- Put the water in a small saucepan, and when it boils, dissolve the cherry jelly powder in it. Let it cool and divide it among the glasses. Place them in the fridge for 3-4 hours for the jelly to set. Decorate with fresh cherries and mint leaves.
