INGREDIENTS

3⁄4 cup peanut oil
3⁄4 cup sugar
5 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 vanilla
2 cups flour
1⁄2 cup cherry liqueur
A pinch of salt
45 – 50 fresh cherries, pitted

METHOD

Beat the eggs in a bowl. Then, combine the beaten eggs with the peanut oil, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, flour, cherry liqueur, and salt, and beat everything together until well combined.
Grease and flour a round cake pan and pour in the batter. Arrange the cherries evenly over the top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 1 hour.
